corona — Commercial encourages Mexicans to realize their potential

In November 2016, beer brand Corona ran Desfronterízate (a made-up word that translates as ‘un-frontier-yourself’): a campaign challenging US President Donald Trump. Fronted by Mexican actor Diego Luna, the spot describes Trump as ‘el loco ese’ (‘this crazy guy’) and encourages Mexicans to chase their ambitions and overcome the mental barriers or stereotypes that stop them from realizing their full potential. In the campaign video, Luna overcomes obstacles and scales walls and buildings.
