Founder

Reinier Evers is the founder of TrendWatching, one of the world’s leading trend intelligence firms. For over two decades, he’s helped organizations anticipate what’s next — and turn that foresight into meaningful innovation.

Reinier also founded Business of Purpose and Springwise, and (too early, in his words) co-founded Urbanbite, Europe’s first online food delivery service, which was acquired by lastminute.com in 2002.

Under his leadership, TrendWatching has built an international team and a 100+ spotter network across 60+ countries. Its trend intelligence platform, powered by both AI and human insight, helps 100,000s of professionals track trends and apply them to real-world business challenges — with clients ranging from Mastercard and Google to IKEA and TBWA.

From Amsterdam to São Paulo to Seoul, Reinier has delivered keynotes in over 20 countries, from Thailand to the UK to Brazil. His current keynote helps professionals understand how AI is revolutionizing trend spotting and product ideation (and how to run with this opportunity in 2027 and beyond). 

Reinier studied Business Economics & Policy at the University of Amsterdam and NYU. Based in Amsterdam, he’s forever plotting his next travel adventure, snapping gritty cityscapes for fun, and running on a steady drip of espresso macchiatos.
