Free kayak and SUP rentals for Singaporeans who collect trash while paddling

For the month of September, Singapore residents can rent kayaks or stand-up paddle boards at no charge, in exchange for picking up trash as they paddle. PAssion WaVe — a community sports organization that's part of the People's Association — is offering free two-hour sessions on Wednesdays through Fridays.

Participants are provided with buckets, tongs and gloves, and can head out onto the sea or a reservoir from any of PAssion WaVe's six outlets.

Trend Bite

Time for your brand to facilitate fun clean-ups? The concept isn't new, but likely to spread as consumers become more acutely aware of human impact on the planet. If you're involved with sports or the outdoors, it's a no-brainer — offering people the combined feel-good factors of being active outdoors while protecting their environment.
