Not just for execs — Mastercard now ties all employee bonuses to ESG goals

In 2021, Mastercard introduced a compensation model for its executives that linked their bonus to the company's performance on its three main ESG goals: carbon neutrality, financial inclusion and gender pay parity.

It's now extending that model to the rest of the company. Starting this year, performance on ESG goals will factor into bonus calculations for all 24,000+ people who work at Mastercard.
